Job Summary

Head of Advisory and Regulatory Compliance is responsible for leading the advisory and regulatory compliance functions within the bank, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant laws and regulations while supporting the business strategies. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive compliance policies and procedures, providing strategic advice to business units, and overseeing regulatory reporting. The Head of Advisory and Regulatory Compliance manages compliance audits and ensures effective communication with regulatory bodies. They support the Head of Compliance in aligning the compliance strategy with the bank’s overall objectives and lead a team of compliance professionals. This position requires a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, business strategies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex compliance and business challenges. Additionally, the role involves fostering a culture of compliance within the organization, ensuring all business activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Head of Advisory and Regulatory Compliance plays a critical role in safeguarding the bank’s reputation and ensuring its long-term success.

Job Description​

  • Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports.

Education and Experience Required

  • 12 plus years Compliance or financial services,
  • Strong Business Acumen
  • Proven experience in leading and managing compliance teams.
  • In-depth understanding of local and global regulatory frameworks and their application in the banking sector.
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Experience in engaging with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is essential.
  • A Master’s degree or other postgraduate qualifications in Compliance, Risk Management, or Corporate Governance is highly advantageous.
