Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting office administration, secretarial services, records handling, communication, and general clerical duties. Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Typing all general correspondence and non-confidential matters.
- Typing letters, minutes, notices, bulletins, circulars, certificates, charts, and stencils.
- Printing reports, letters, and other official documents.
- Taking proper care of all machines under their charge and ensuring they are used for official work only.
- Filing copies of typed letters in relevant files.
- Receiving and directing visitors.
- Attending telephone calls and taking messages.
- Performing any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements:
- Holder of a Form IV Certificate of Secondary Education with passes in:
- Kiswahili
- English
- Must also hold a Diploma in one of the following:
- Office Management
- Secretarial Studies, NTA Level 5
- The qualification must include:
- 100 words per minute shorthand speed
- 50 words per minute typing speed
- Tabulation and manuscript stage II
- Secretarial duties
- Office procedure stage II
- The qualification must be obtained from a recognized institution.
