Job Title; – People and Culture Officer (Compensation & Benefits)
Manager’s Title; – Senior People & Culture officer
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of the P& C Officer is to perform a variety of basic personnel related clerical duties associated with Compensation & Benefits, filing and maintaining employment records. Customer service and compliance requirements related to P&C
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Administration (30%)
- Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and within the approved timelines.
- Ensure correct calculation of salaries, allowances, Incentives, statutory deductions, and other benefits.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and contract changes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, NSSF, WCF, SDL, etc.) and facilitate timely remittance to relevant authorities.
- Reconcile payroll reports with finance records and resolve any discrepancies before payment processing.
Staff Medical & Group life insurance schemes and workplace compensations (15%)
- Manages all medical related issues for VFT – MFB staff and their eligible family members
- Prepares on a quarterly basis and review list of staff and eligible members to be treated under VFT MFB medical facilities.
- Ensure medical insurance registrations for new staff and dependents, update data and share with insurance for service provision
- Receives quarterly medical expenditures from Branches and input in our HR computer package and prepare quarterly departmental/ branch medical expenses.
- Inform insurance on timely benefits upon request and ensure accurate service provision to staff and dependents, eg. Death, paternity and maternity.
Personnel Allowances and Terminal Benefits management
(15%)
- Ensure Leave allowance payments and monitor the payments data as per VFT policy
- Timely payments of personnel allowances as per VFT policy, settlements, field, and airtime.
- Conduct accurate calculations of data for staff terminal dues.
Leave Administration (30%)
- Custodian of all staff leave and leave related matters i.e., leave plans, leave approvals, leave advances etc.
- Ensures proper management of leave for VFT – MFB staff as stipulated in the policy
- Coordinates overall leave chart for VFT – MFB staff
- Maintain leave cycles and balance
- Submit monthly leave reports, identify leave taken and pending.
- Processes leave through Aruti for payments
Other P&C Administrative Matters (10%)
- Provides general support services Business Centre on People and Culture issues
- Responds to daily employees’ questions/issues timely and in an appropriate manner.
- Other duties as will be assigned by the supervisor.

As the Business Analyst, Data Governance, you will be responsible for analyzing, improving, and supporting the business’s data processes to strengthen data quality, integrity, and trust across the organization.
You will also serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate data-related needs into clear requirements that improve how data is created, managed, and used throughout its lifecycle.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Professional development in Information Management or CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in analyzing business processes and system behaviors, with an understanding of how data flows through the organization.
- Hands-on experience conducting root cause analysis of data issues and identifying underlying process failures.
- Proven experience in applying Data Governance principles; data quality rules, metadata, stewardship, and standards to business workflows. Demonstrated ability to map and document business processes using workflow, data flow, or swimlane diagrams.
- Ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into data-focused technical specifications. Strong analytical experience with the ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and process improvement opportunities.
- Ability and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to align on data definitions, requirements, and process changes.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
