About the Role:
The Credit Manager – Tanzania position is a field-based role under the Global Risk and Credit team in Tanzania. The role holder will be accountable for overseeing and managing credit risk & other risks within the Easybuy business. This role requires designing, implementing, and maintaining robust credit risk controls and operational processes to strengthen/improve the portfolio health and compliance. 

Analyze portfolio performance:

  • Systematically identifying high-risk customers and classifying their default probability using data insights and direct outreach.
  • Identification of portfolio Reflags and timely reporting of the same
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of risk indicators and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Monitoring regional/area trends and specific product performance to identify and implement corrective measures for negative trends


Academic Qualification & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Risk Management or a related business field, over 5 years of related experience, preferably in the Audit/Risk/Credit/Analytics department, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Other relevant certification in Credit Management or Business Analytics/Statistics/ Data/Computer Science is an added advantage.
  • Significant knowledge of data collection, field surveys 
  • Excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
