Responsibilities
The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for:
- Providing nursing care at the North Mara Mine Clinic.
- Conducting daily patient triage and ensuring smooth attendance at the clinic.
- Administering medicines, injections and vaccinations as prescribed by the doctor.
- Assisting with investigations such as audiometry, spirometry and vision screening during medical check-ups.
- Conducting routine inspections of clinic and ambulance equipment.
- Maintaining employees’ medical records.
- Conducting the return-to-work programme following work-related injuries or periods of prolonged ill health.
- Assessing the work environment for potential health and safety hazards.
- Delivering health- and safety-related training programmes, including site induction.
- Participating in meetings and health-promotion activities.
- Delivering health awareness sessions.
- Implementing health initiatives and programmes, including the PHE scheme, First Aid, the HIV/AIDS Workplace Programme and malaria programmes.
- Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with public health and occupational health and safety.
Qualification requirements
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Experience and competencies
- Two to three years of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience working in the mining industry will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities
The Auto Electrician will be responsible for:
- Ensuring safe work practices, including:
- Attending compulsory safety courses and meetings.
- Using the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Reporting incidents and accidents.
- Adhering fully to all safety, occupational health and environmental policies.
- Following all other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Performing task risk assessments, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA).
- Maintaining, repairing and diagnosing electrical issues on various mining vehicles and equipment.
- Conducting fault-finding and routine inspections on:
- Light vehicles.
- Light trucks.
- Trucks.
- Forklifts.
- Bobcats.
- Other mining machines.
- Coordinating activities within the unit and reporting to the supervisor.
- Ensuring that mobile equipment is maintained safely and cost-effectively.
- Participating in the development of training programmes for the national workforce.
- Conducting competency assessments.
- Demonstrating a commitment to safe working practices through personal example.
- Acting immediately when an unsafe act or situation is observed and continuously monitoring safety standards.
- Ensuring full compliance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) repair procedures and all safety and training protocols.
- Completing all training modules under the auto-electrical and maintenance skills matrix programme.
- Monitoring mining auto-electrical activities and eliminating wasteful practices.
- Ensuring that agreed maintenance targets are achieved.
- Supporting and working through departmental tactical plans to achieve overall business objectives.
- Developing and managing equipment component change-outs and rebuilds where necessary.
- Investigating and implementing the latest technology to improve auto-electrical work.
- Performing any other task assigned by the reporting-line supervisor.
- Completing breakdown and preventive maintenance work orders on time.
- Creating subsequent notifications and providing feedback on work performed.
Qualification requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Secondary education.
- Technical or vocational school education, apprenticeship training or on-the-job training.
- An FTC, VETA or IMTT Trade Test qualification, or its equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of mining safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Certification in air-conditioning system repairs.
- A valid Tanzanian driving licence for Classes B, D, E, G and F.
Experience and competencies
Applicants should have:
- At least three years of experience in a mine auto-electrical maintenance role.
- Good working knowledge of auto-electrical maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Working knowledge of equipment safety standards.
- Experience in maintenance practices and techniques.
- Practical experience in troubleshooting and repairing air-conditioning systems.
- Essential experience within the mining industry.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Strong time-management and planning skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think logically and clearly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- The ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- The ability to perform safety inspections and identify safety hazards.
