What you’ll do
Role purpose:
The Solutions Architect – Data Center Solutions is responsible for
designing and delivering cloud and data centre infrastructure solutions
that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. The role works closely
with customers and internal teams to translate business requirements
into effective technical solutions across cloud and on-premises
environments.
The position supports presales engagements, technical consulting, solution design, implementation, and service activation to ensure delivery within SLA timelines, successful customer UAT sign-off, billing readiness, revenue growth, and an enhanced customer experience.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
•Responsible with leading to capturing and understanding customer requirements and design based on business requirement.
•Responsible with ensuring an always ready environment for customers to host their equipment and solutions in our environments
•Responsible with leading installation of customer equipment and
implementation of customer solution by providing a seamless on boarding
of support.
•Responsible with ensuring UATs are performed and proper team
training is done of the new feature/solution (both customer teams and
Vodacom Sales teams).
•Responsible with identifying new, innovative hosting and cloud
solutions and help to scope with relevant stakeholders that ensures
continued relevance and growth of colocation revenue and customer
experience

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
•A degree in Telecom Engineering, Electronic or Computer Science or Computer engineering
•At least 3 years previous experience (strategic planning, project management and reporting, sales or product development.

What you’ll do
Role purpose:
To lead and manage the end to end commercial bid process for local and international opportunities, ensuring compliant, competitive and profitable proposals that support Vodacom Business growth.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
•End to end bid management
Lead the full bid lifecycle for local and international
opportunities, from qualification and response planning through
submission, negotiation and contract closure.
•Bid strategy and commercial positioning
Develop bid strategies that align customer requirements with
business objectives, competitive positioning, profitability targets and
solution feasibility.
•Governance, compliance and risk control
Ensure all bid submissions comply with internal governance,
financial, legal and commercial approval requirements, with all key
risks identified and addressed before submission.
•Contract and commercial negotiation
Manage the review, negotiation and approval of customer contracts,
master service agreements, service level agreements and commercial
terms to protect business interests while meeting customer expectations.
•Cross functional stakeholder coordination
Coordinate sales, finance, legal, technical, partner and affiliate
stakeholders to deliver high quality, timely and customer focused
proposals for complex opportunities.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Commerce, Telecommunications or a related field
•Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in bid management, commercial management, proposal development, sales support
•Experience in contract review, commercial negotiation and governance approval processes
•Telecommunications or technology sector experience is preferred
•Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is an advantage
