Job Purpose

The Risk Analyst will support the identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of market risk, liquidity risk, and strategic risk in line with the Bank’s risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives.

The role ensures effective protection of the Bank against adverse movements in foreign exchange, interest rates, liquidity exposures, and strategic execution risks, while supporting informed decision-making by Senior Management and the Board. Lubumbashi and Kinshasa.

Principle Responsibilities

A. Market Risk Management

  • Monitor and report FX and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) exposures
  • Track daily market risk indicators (open FX positions, sensitivities)
  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis (currency shocks, interest rate movements)
  • Ensure compliance with internal limits and regulatory thresholds
  • Analyse macroeconomic trends and their impact on the Bank’s portfolio

B. Liquidity Risk Management

  • Monitor liquidity positions (short-term and structural liquidity)
  • Prepare and monitor Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and funding concentration
  • Conduct liquidity stress testing (deposit withdrawals, market disruptions)
  • Support the development and review of the Contingency Funding Plan (CFP)
  • Analyse maturity mismatches and funding gaps

C. Strategic Risk Management

  • Support identification and assessment of strategic risks (market competition, regulatory change, business model shifts)
  • Participate in risk assessment of new products and strategic initiatives
  • Monitor execution risks against strategic objectives
  • Provide risk insights to Senior Management and Board Risk Committee

D. Risk Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly risk reports for Senior Management and Board Risk Committee
  • Develop dashboards and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for Market, Liquidity, and Strategic risks
  • Provide forward-looking risk insights and early warning indicators

E. Policy & Compliance

  • Support development and review of Market, Liquidity, and Strategic Risk policies
  • Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations and Basel III requirements

F. Risk Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain risk models, monitoring tools, and analytical spreadsheets
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of risk data and reporting
  • Support automation and enhancement of risk reporting systems
  • Set up trade deals in the Calypso Treasury Management System

G. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Treasury (Front & Back Office), Finance, and Business Units
  • Provide risk advisory input into business decisions and product development

Qualifications Required

·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field

·       Professional certifications (FRM, PRM, CFA) are an added advantage

·       2–5 years of experience in Risk Management, Treasury, or Financial Analysis

·       Banking experience is strongly preferred

Senior Officer - Financial Reporting at CRDB Bank

Job Purpose

To ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the Bank’s financial reporting by overseeing the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS, local regulatory frameworks, and internal policies, while providing reliable financial insights to support management decision-making and regulatory reporting obligations. Location Lubumbashi and Kinshasa

Principle Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both internal management and external stakeholders, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, GCEC, and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust accounting framework aligned with statutory requirements, including Central Bank regulations and tax authority guidelines.
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance of financial records and books of accounts, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness at all times.
  • Coordinating with internal and external auditors, facilitating smooth audit processes and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Supporting the oversight and coordination of finance function activities, ensuring alignment and consistency in financial reporting processes.
  • Reviewing, validating, and submitting statutory and regulatory reports to the Central Bank and relevant authorities in compliance with prudential guidelines.
  • Monitoring and ensuring ongoing compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, while proactively staying updated on changes in regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights, analysis, and reporting support to meet business and operational needs.
  • Developing and enhancing financial reporting policies, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior finance staff, promoting high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting from any recognized University and relevant professional qualifications (CPA/ACCA) will be added advantage
  • Professional banking certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (5) years’ relevant experience, preferably within branch operations or customer relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, branch operations, and customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge of performance management and change management principles.
  • Ability to promote teamwork, trust, and a customer service–oriented culture.
  • Strong planning, organizing, coaching, analytical, and reporting skills.
