QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER II (CHEMISTRY)

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To study all aspects pertaining to inspection, quality management and certification;
2. To study and implement the laboratory safety procedures and regulations;
3. To carry out analysis of sample as may be assigned by supervisor/trainer
4. ;To provide support to industries in all matters related to quality assurance;
5. To implement Regulations for Certification Schemes;
6. To conduct quality assurance training, consultancy and research;
7. To participate in preparation, implementation, maintenance and review of quality system;
8. To carry out verification of supplies and services;To carry out corrective and preventive actions;
9. To assist in safety and serviceability of equipment and apparatus; and

Qualifications

Holder of Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

LABORATORY ASSISTANT II

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To preparation of simple reagents;
2. To cleaning of laboratory apparatus;
3. To general cleanliness of the floors, windows, tables, sinks, coats;
4. To dusting of bookshelves, cleaning simple apparatus, equipment and machinery;
5. To make requests for cleaning materials;
6. To may be instructed to prepare samples for testing;
7. To implement routine safety measures in the laboratory; and
8. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

Holder of Form IV Certificate plus Certificate/ Trade Test Grade I or II or NVA Level II or III in  Laboratory Science and Technology, Laboratory Assistant, from recognized institutions.
