Bag Hookers -7 Position at Kilombero Sugar

Job Purpose: 
The successful candidate will be responsible to Unhooking and Hooking bulk bags/1ton bags at a loading bay.

Specific Job responsibilities:

• Once crane stopped on the loading bay, hook the 1ton bag and ensure bag well secured as required.
• Remove 1ton bag handle from the crane hook during offloading.
• Scan the 1ton bags with scanner when receiving/offloading sugar from k2 before stacking.
• Scan 1ton bags when stacking for respective bay unit and during destacking for decanting.
• Ensuring housekeeping is done properly on his working area.
• Contribute to problem solving during CI meetings by identifying areas for improvement and making suggestions.
• Ensure that work is done to the relevant safety standards.
• Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.
• If any situation that is non- conforming to required standards, unsafe, or unhealthy, or anything that threatens to impact on the environment comes to your attention, report this to your superior using the existing incident report system.
• Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001/ISO 22000 to achieve quality and food safety standards.
• Carries out any other requested duties relating to the plant

Credit Administrator - 2 Positions at Kilombero Sugar

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for the control of debtor’s accounts in assigned area, ensuring timely collection of payments through regular customer communication and handling customer queries and claims.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures maximum cash flow benefit accrues to the company by continuously liaising with customers to secure payment within the payment term as set by the management.
• Estimate daily cash flow by liaising with customers and providing accurate details of anticipated collection.
• Analyses customer payment when receiving by checking remittance advice for any discrepancies from invoice and ensure all documents for claims deducted have been received.
• Process all approved rebates that are received from commercial team and ensure reconciliation is completed
• Ensure communication with customers so that allocated account is kept within objective.
• Contact customer to discuss erroneous items which have been short paid and resolve this matter to the satisfaction of both parties.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to the customer by ensuring requests for copying invoices, statement or proof of delivery are handled promptly.
• Checks allocated accounts and resolve differences to ensure credit due have been passed timeously and all queries are being investigated.
• Process credit notes and ensure adjustment note are properly filed
• Ensure all credit notes relating to specific invoices, short payment or claims are recorded accurately and promptly against the account.
• A Formal reconciliation must be done for the relevant accounts on an agreed periodic basis Daily, weekly or monthly depending on the account.
• Prepare and distribute customer sundry Invoice and statements including all relevant supporting documentation (I.e. debit and credit notes)
• Ensure that all documentation is filed in their respective folder.

Job Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/business administration/Equivalent
• Not less than 3 years working experience working in finance environment.
• Details process and analytical ability
• Strong verbal/ analytical reasoning ability
• CPA and SAP ERP will be added advantages

Crane Operator - 2 Position at Kilombero Sugar

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible to operate gantry crane machines.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Stacking and De-staking of 1ton sugar bags as per procedure.
• ensure Checking looseness on foundation bolts, Rail way and report deviations to avoid Loads falling from height and report deviation to Foreman
• Check the chain hook and pulley of the crane if they are in good condition and report deviations to Foreman.
• Check lubrication and condition of the hoisting rope and report deviations to Foreman.
• Responsible for inspecting the Machine through Climb up the ladder into the driving cabin of the crane and report any damage or deviation observed.
• Assist in breakdown or maintenance work as assigned.
• Ensure a proper handing over at the end of the shift.
• Switch the crane off and ensure that the hook is in a safe position at end of shift.
• Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.

• Technical certificate in Fitter/mechanical or similar related.
• 1+year of working experience in crane operations
• Experience working in warehousing or logistics add value.
• Forklift driver certificate/licence add value.
• Able to read, write and understand SOPs.

• Lifting equipment and operations knowledge
• Effective communication.
• Ability to supervise and organize.
